Is it worth it to upgrade the laptop?

Hello!
There is an old Sony Vaio laptop - Intel B970 / 4gb/500HDD built-in video hd2000
Now I installed Intellij Idea, because I went to java courses.
And faced with the fact that too long "thinking." Starting from how it opens a new class / console ending with when you start a class with 3 methods -)
According to the task manager - hard most often the load is 80-100% (I sin on swapping memory) 60% memory ...
There was an idea to add 4GB (slot is) and SSD - will it be justified? The old percent is very embarrassing.
Or is it better to sell, add and take something on i3 / i5?

@IKarpoff

Even older computers take on a new life when replacing HDD with SSD
In combination with an increase in memory (and even reinstalling the OS) - generally a song -)

the most budget option to decently disperse an old car is to add memory and install ssd.

well, the question now is how to stop experiencing pain with the code with minimal costs)
Because, all the fuse is lost - when you have a calculator compiles for 5 minutes)
dimation96 looks sideways) On the contrary) now I’m even glad that the resolution is low and the video is weak - there’s not even a desire to install games, and they imperceptibly gobble up a lot of time)
The main thing is to work smartly and not be stupid ... So as not to lose interest)

In this case, there will be a flow. It won't dull. But the view itself will be old. But the main thing is that it works great.
