How to resolve the dilemma: as3 or html5 + jquery and ajax?

Good day!

There was a task to write an application for VK, a parser for one social network. As you know, there are 2 types of applications for interacting with the user directly on vk.com: iframe and flash. I always preferred the first type, because, of course, I know well the standard set of html5 + css + js schoolchildren. But, knowing that later I would have to buy an ssl certificate to pass VK moderation, I decided to choose flash. At first I wrote almost the entire server part in PHP and then, in fact, I started to work on the client part on AS3 .. I didn’t have much time to delve into it and now I have a rather cumbersome code, especially because of the lack of experience in this PL, I began to write it incorrectly + I suspect that I can’t upload the received application to VK at all. I understand that many things that I could not implement on AS3 could easily be done on jquery and ajax. Generally, does it make sense now to drop everything and switch to an iframe application?

And what exactly cannot be implemented using as3 tools, what can be done on jquery. Write in more detail.
