Dell 3360 laptop not charging. How to figure out what the problem is?

There is a Dell 3360 laptop under Windows 8, the battery has recently stopped charging. My wife's laptop, according to her, before that, the laptop went into a blue screen once with an error somehow related to the power adapter. The laptop from the adapter works fine, but it does not charge. Now 7% is left, it does not go higher, even when it is turned off, so the problem is not software. I don’t see any reason to sin on the adapter either, since the laptop works normally from it.
What could be the problem and how to determine it? I don’t want to carry it to service centers, the prices there are such that it’s easier to buy a whole new mother or a battery on eBay and install it yourself.

The problem in the charge circuit is most likely nothing extraordinary, but it must be carried in for repair. Of course, you can buy a battery, but what will happen if it’s not the case)) So the only question is whether to buy a new one ...

Dell laptops need an original power supply, if you have the one that originally came with the laptop, then check if the central pin is broken off in the plug. This is not + as it seems at first, but, so to speak, the identifier of the fact that the adapter is native and suitable in terms of power.
