Is it worth archiving data when uploading content to the game?

Hello. In general, the situation is this: there is a game for social networks, during the download process it downloads any content (pictures, atf-files, sounds, and so on). All this content, say, 20 megabytes, in the process of optimization, it was decided to archive the latter in a zip archive so that its weight would decrease, say, to 15 megabytes (I take all the numbers figuratively), so that the download process would be faster in this way, but the flash drive in the end should then spend time to pull everything out of the archive. I would like to hear your opinion on this - is it right to do this?

@Shlyam

compression is one way to speed up loading to the user
if the script is organized correctly - it's better to do this, cars and phones are now powerful, they will uncompress
