Is it possible to work with a Docker project through Ubuntu WSL?

Good day.
There is a complex project that is problematic to raise under Windows due to the fact that the dockerfile is written for Linux - constant problems with 0777, then with pwd, then with something else. There is an option to run native WSL2 in the docker itself, but this requires a newer Windows build than mine - reinstalling is not an option.

Is it possible to install Ubuntu on WSL, raise a Docker project in it, and work with the project by sharing disks between WSL and Windows? Has anyone done this? Googled, until I found a description of such an experience.

Thanks in advance.

There is an option to install any virtual machine, for example https://www.virtualbox.org/
Install Ubuntu in it and do whatever you want.
