Is it possible to use a website subdomain for VPN access?

Hello, do not consider my question nonsense, please.
I came across this phrase on the Internet (from a forum on NAS drives and applications for them)

Configure a dedicated subdomain, ie. vpn.mydomain.land for the VPN usage, and configure the VPN clients from this default domain. This is what I'm commonly using

Is this really possible?
Suppose I have my own domain, eg. example.com. What can I do to set up a VPN on a subdomain?

A subdomain is simply a record pointing to an IP address. i.e. yes, of course you can.
you need to create a vpn.example.com entry with some ip address and raise a vpn server on the server with this address
