As far as I understand, raising a virtual machine with macOS and Xcode will not work, because in order to list the application in the App Store, I need to purchase a developer license for $ 99 per year and link my macbook to an account. Creating a developer account is free, but if you want to post an attachment, you will have to pay. You don't have to buy a Macbook for this. But you need to have an iPhone to download the build.
