Is it possible to stub parent classes for PhPUnit without losing functionality?

I'm using Drupal 8, which is not yet very stable, and when writing PhPUnit tests, the result comes in the form of the message "No result" . When I try to do it through mock, it seems to work, but I can't call the desired method. How to get a normal result? At least more informative.
