Is it possible to see the chain of network devices up to the gateway?

The question is to be able to see the chain of devices before reaching the gateway. Tobish would like to see the switch, for example, which goes up to him. Is there such a possibility at all?

No. Route trace can only be seen for routers

If you are a network administrator, then conditionally yes:
1) connect to the switch
2) look at the MAC address table
3) find the port on which the desired MAC address is lit
4) look at what is connected to this port, if the end device is done, if another switch - goto 1
As a result, you should get a piece of a network map.

LLDP can help a little in building an L2 network map.
