Is it possible to run games on Virtualbox?
Hello.
I am not a programmer and in general a complete noob, I have a question about Virtualbox.
Is it possible to use it on my laptop to run games that the laptop does not pull. Now I’ll explain. My video card flew, partially. All games, except for browsers (and not all) refuse to work. 6 and single player games like "Heroes 3.4" and "Harry Potter UA". As I understand it, the part of the video card that is responsible for the Direct3D and OpenGL drivers was covered. So, is it possible to configure Virtualbox so that I can run Dragon Nest ,Wow,Allods and other games similar to these.

A virtual machine cannot run faster than a real one.
And since you are a complete noob in your own words - I would advise you not to draw conclusions about what you have covered, but to describe exactly the problems of launching games, provide screenshots of errors.
Does the motherboard have integrated video?
Yes - Throw out (in the sense of selling on Avito) your burnt one and use the integrated one.
No - Throw away your burnt one and buy another one (on Avito).
you first do the experiment, install on the disk (after making a backup of course) the system that you wanted to put in the virtual machine (winxp as I understand it), if everything works as it should, then you might like the dual boot option more than running games in the virtual machine .
virtualbox/vmware players have a limited implementation (read emulation) of the video card, often enough for applications that use the video card to draw the interface and maybe even simple rendering (3d modeling packages), but for games this may not be enough.
when using xen / vmware / kvm, in principle, it is possible to forward a video card as equipment inside a virtual machine and applications will use it at its full speed, but this requires expensive hardware (motherboard, processor with virtualization support and a limited number of video cards, more often server ones are expensive )

I remember exactly when citrix introduced this technology, an expensive laptop with an intel processor and video was used
