Is it possible to receive SMS remotely?

It so happened that I am now in another country, and the phone remained in Russia. Setting up voice call forwarding is not a problem, but the issue has not yet been resolved with SMS. The phone receives SMS from banks and a lot of other important information. Is there any way to receive SMS remotely? I can’t send a SIM card because of the large distances between countries and the risks of losing a SIM card.

If there is an android on the other end, then ask it to set up a backup of sms on imap . You can also make calls there, by the way - and then call back.

It would be rational to solve the problem through the OPSOS, of course.
But if it doesn’t work out, and trusted persons have access to the phone, then I would remotely use their hands:
- either connect the phone to a trusted PC with the appropriate software that can receive SMS and send it where necessary;
- or put on the phone software that can do this;
- and if it doesn’t work out, then I would rearrange the SIM card into a phone that is suitable for paragraphs 1 and 2 and would try again.

If by a happy coincidence you have a megaphone - put a multiphone and you will be happy

If the phone is on android and someone has access to it, you can install the client https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.... and transfer the qr code for the web version
There will be an analogue of whatsapp web
