Is it possible to reallocate space on Linux partitions?
Good day! Put Linux as the second system. During installation, I divided it into sections: / (root), / home and swap.
Since I am a novice user, and I set the system as “second”, I didn’t mark the disks correctly. The floor of the root partition allocated very little space, thinking that I will put all applications in / home. Now in the root situation with a shortage, and in the home situation with an excess. Is it possible to reallocate space without livesd?

Without LVM it's entirely possible, the commenters are wrong.
But without LiveCD is no longer there.
If installed on lvm, then it is enough to simply redistribute the space, if on ordinary partitions, then it is non-trivial and easier to reinstall.
It's hard to shrink a section. Not all FS can do this on the fly, not all can do it in principle. Extending a partition is usually not a problem. It's easier with LVM, but in a pinch it's possible without it...
Standard installation for a beginner - trust the installer. And even better - all in one section

Make a LiveCD on a flash drive, GParted is there, and don't worry.
