Is it possible to properly mount vmware 6 images on vmware version 5.5?

Good afternoon!

Combat is up on VMware v6.6.5. They took images. We started making the development infrastructure and found out that version 5.5 is everywhere.

Is it possible to run 6.6.5 images on 5.5 versions so that they behave correctly with at least some guarantee? And if the answer is yes, what is the best way?

There is a proposal to pick up OVF (OVA) images, but again, how they will behave is also unclear.

PS I ask you not to suggest changing the version of VMware
