Is it possible to open access to the site only from clients from the work network and connected to this network via VPN exclusively using .htaccess?

Hello, such a problem.
There is a project in development that needs to be closed for everyone except clients from the corporate network.
This network has an external IP, say 62.222.222.24
There are no problems, I prescribe it in the .htaccess of the project

Order Deny,Allow
Allow from 62.222.222.24
Deny from All

and those who are in the office, .ie. within the network, they have access.
But for those who connect to the same network via VPN, the project is not available - 403. The VPN server itself has a slightly different ip - 62.222.222.30, but adding it to .htaccess does not solve the problem.
I see that a solution is being proposed where you need to edit the Apache config, but the project is secondary and hosted on a shared, so there is no access to the Apache configuration.
Is it possible to do with just .htaccess, without editing virtual hosts or not?
