Is it possible to mount a disk to two operating systems at the same time in read-write mode?

Good day.
There is the following situation: a server on Xen, it has two virtual machines: one is a file washer on Debian, and the second is a router on FreeBSD. I would like to know if it is possible to mount the file cleaning disk to the router, while it is desirable that both systems can both read and write to this disk. In order not to create an unnecessary load on the network, I think that it is worth abandoning the idea of using smbmount and other utilities for mounting disks over the network.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Ahem. First, there is NFS.
Secondly - it is possible, but not necessary - you can lose data.

More specifically, it is possible using cluster FS. But for “traditional” file systems, this will definitely lead to data loss.
