Why not, there's been an audio tag for this for a long time. It takes 15 minutes to write a plugin, or even a simple script that will pull out tracks and shove them into audio. Just keep in mind that, for example, on iOS, it behaves extremely strangely.

If there is no flash, or it is disabled, then the music plays through html5.
I just checked - I went to chrome://plugins/ in chrome and turned off the flash. Music plays.
