I'm assuming you're a developer to whom the designer is sent a PSD as a result of their work?
FS works pretty decently under CrossOver , which is a special, commercial build of wine that can do a lot of things that wine can't. It's a little paid, but since you have enough money for an additional copy of FS, then there will definitely be enough money for CrossOver;) I won't say anything definite about the speed.
The virtual machine is pretty good.
Purely for viewing gimp is often enough.
Another option is to teach your designers to give PDF/tiff/jpg previews to your liking, and then cut ready-made PNGs for you. And immediately into your CVS along with the original PSD.

To run Photoshop and Microsoft Office I'm running a virtual Windows XP on VirtualBox. On a virtual OS, I make shared disks with Ubuntu. It’s quite convenient to work this way, and it doesn’t eat up a lot of computer resources. In terms of speed, everything works very quickly.

Rather no than yes :) I think it's better to use alternative solutions. Wine in general, in my opinion, cannot fully install any exe-program.

Realistic, but difficult. From experience I will say that it is better not to bother, or use an OS from Apple or Microsoft.
I didn’t go far with this, I wanted to try using virtualization, but then I suddenly felt overwhelmed.
Can Gimp start learning?

I run Photoshop in the virtual machine, cut out the images I need there, make notes about the fonts, and take a screenshot of the layout. Further, already in my native environment, using Gimp I work with a screen, I pulled out the rest of the data earlier in Photoshop. Somewhat inconvenient, but more comfortable than doing everything in Photoshop on a virtual machine

Under wine, the ancient photoshop CS2 was installed without any problems, when there was a pseudo-free distribution from adobe :-) I started it only a dozen times, because without any special need, everything works, it doesn’t crash, it’s fast ...
I haven’t tried new versions.

Installed Photoshop CC via wine. It started up and worked, but very slowly. Opened files for a long time, rendered everything for a long time, hung on large files, and so on. It was because of Photoshop that I returned to Windows (
If you really want Linux with Photoshop, then I think the best solution would be to install a virtual machine with Windows and put a normal Windows Photoshop there, but with this solution you need a solid supply of RAM.

installed ps 6 via playOnLinux works like everything checked. But, I can not cut out the pictures as usual.
Being on the layer as usual, I select it, press Alt
and click on the eye, nothing happens, with the alt key pressed
