Simple and secure VPS administration?

I have been stepping on the same rake for many years.
I take VPS 2 CPU 4 GB (in my case, on mcs.mail.ru) - and then fierce dances with a tambourine begin.
All I need there is nginx, nodejs, which I start via pm2.
Going there through a clean terminal means not being able to view / copy files normally back and forth.

I go as a result through vscode.
But it quite often kills the server before it needs to be rebooted. Once I accidentally launched a full-text search like this - the server could not stand it. When copying operations through vscode, if not filled with an archive, it also tends to fall off periodically.

Please tell me, well, surely there is a simple, reliable and convenient solution?

What nonsense? Install mc - and there will be a normal view. And ssh / sftp should generally stand by default, and it’s more normal than it is, copying is definitely not found :)
Well, you can install webmin - and you will have a web-face for managing the server :)

The combination of VPS administration and VScode is not entirely clear.
Therefore, here is a list with a grouping of options by type, choose what you need:

  • PuTTY/Kitty
  • FileZilla/WinSCP
  • centmin mod
  • DirectAdmin (paid)

The first four programs can be tried without installation (in fact, unpacking to the specified folder) in the Portable version: https://portableapps.com/apps/internet
