Max can parse psd into layers, you can display one specific layer or the entire composition. If you get tired, you can achieve interesting effects. Adjusting colors - only curves in max itself, the tool is not very powerful. Working with Photoshop styles is also so-so.
As for me, this is only suitable for creating masks, the rest is easier to merge into separate textures with pens in Photoshop itself.
