Is it possible to find a job related to compiler development?

Actually, now I'm a web programmer (PHP + front-side). But there is also some experience in C++. Including regarding exactly compilers - parsing, optimizations, translation into assembler. I even wrote my own simple compilers.
Of course, I understand that this is not enough, and I am ready to develop ( before looking for a job). To study better the theory of parsing, the theory of optimizations, to write your own compiler more difficult, to make several patches in open source compilers.
But is it even possible to find a job related to this? Just on the same HeadHunter in Moscow, in fact, there is only one vacancy related to the development of compilers from Samsung. At the same time, it hangs for more than one year (I have seen it for a long time). I'm not saying it's bad, but one option is too few. Suddenly they won’t take it or subsequently it will be necessary to change the job for any reason. And there are no more options.

Personally, I have not met, although by the nature of my activity I often monitor sites, HeadHunter, Rabota.ru, Job.ru, it is painfully very narrow specialization. Accordingly, there is a risk that it will be in demand in the future. But of course it's up to you.)

Finding is real, but I won’t tell you exactly how to search. I know that the St. Petersburg office of oracle and the (former) St. Petersburg office of AMD are engaged in compilers.
In terms of contributing to open source, if you apply to a fresh architecture that is not a very large company behind, you will be 100% noticed. Usually the compiler command is fully occupied and the priority of open tools for them is usually the lowest. Therefore, they will always be happy to help from the outside, and there you look, and they will invite you to their place.

It is trite to look for work abroad on this profile, do you know at least one Russian compiler that is an input? This is probably why you cannot find such a job on Russian sites.

The question is - do you yourself write compilers from scratch? All translations, parsing and so on? Without lex and yacc? If so, bad news...

Yes, it's quite real. As already noted here, firstly, this is MCST. Secondly, you can look for vacancies at Intel. In Russia, Intel is developing a compiler for Itanium (I don't know about x86). Both MCST and Intel develop their own proprietary compilers.
Samsung (according to the situation ~ a year ago) had an llvm development kit. The compiler (gcc, llvm) is also being developed at Google. I don’t know if this is a separate department or just a side activity, but the tasks there will be extremely interesting.
