Is it possible to expand RAID5 on AOC-S3108L-H8iR from 4 to 8 drives?

We have
1) Supermicro SYS-2029P-C1R
2) AOC-S3108L-H8iR
RAID5 built On 4 SAS disks
Is it possible to expand RAID without removing VD?
After adding 4 new disks, they are in the unconfigured good state,
how to add them to the VD is not clear. who faced? Tell !

In the description of controllers, they usually indicate whether they can remake the array without destruction - google it. Perhaps through a Windows utility, and not through the BIOS.
But such a manipulation with R5 will most likely destroy the array, because rebuilding will increase the load on the disks. Backup is strictly required

I would advise you to copy somewhere all the data from the existing array, and then just
create a new array of 8 disks and transfer everything to it.
We have repeatedly faced the task of recovering data from RAID just after various migrations and transformations.
In the case when, in my opinion, the QNAP utility for converting RAID 5 to RAID 6 either hung or crashed, I had to write custom RAID recovery software. Such things, as you know, are rarely done urgently and even more rarely cheaply.
So better be safe.

Guys, thanks. But why no one said about proxying? are there any bad traits?
