Is it possible to determine the real ip address when using vpn?

Is it possible to determine the real ip address when using vpn?
The company has a block on the use of resources with the ru domain. I need to log into the system remotely (now the real ip address is in the Russian Federation), I see the answer when using a VPN with the desired location in Opera:
This site can't be reached
The webpage at .... might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED
Why is this possible and are there any tools to avoid this?

Can. There are different methods based on different assumptions. Some of them are quite complex and require access that only the state has.
Does the company block IPs that geolocation refers to the Russian Federation? Well, buy a VPS in Holland, build a VPN before it and go through it...
