Is it possible to create a streaming video file?

VLC can stream the desktop to a file. It works like this: I start streaming, wait a minute, open the file and see a recording of what I did a minute ago. Is it possible to configure VLC to work like this: I start streaming, wait a minute, open the file and see a recording of what is happening on the screen right now. That is, I need real-time streaming to a file, possibly with buffering in the player that opens the file. If it's possible to achieve this behavior with any other software, that will work too.

You can stream to the pipe, and set any player on it. The pipe is created with the help mkfifo имя.файлаof and with the so-called. any software is almost a normal file.
