Is it possible to create a parallel VPN channel?
I have a bunch of devices connecting via the Internet to the server. The provider issues one Ethernet and a gray IP, this cannot be changed, it is also impossible to forward ports.
There was a task to control the operation of a nearby video recorder device, on the subject of working or not working. This can be done via SNMP, the video recorder can send data, there is no Trap\InformRequest option. After thinking about the problem, a plan came up. In the channel break, between the device and the provider, put mikrotik (for example, rb750) of the main device. You can also install mikrotik yourself and raise a VPN channel between them, through which it already connects to the video recorder. But at the same time, the Main device should remain working as it is, the maximum that can be done is to change its network settings:
Mikrotik configure something like this:
Eth1 -> NAT -> Eth2
+
Eth1 -> VPN -> Eth3
Is such a configuration possible (real)?
