Is it possible to change the hotkeys in the browser?

Tell me, is it possible to change the hotkeys installed in browsers so that they can set their own action for the site?
For example: there is an audio player on the site, I want to decrease the volume when pressing ALT + LEFT or play the previous track.
But the browser has set the action for this combination to go to the previous page. Here's how I can hang my action on the keyboard shortcuts set in the browser?
Also, another problem is that these key combinations can be used by other programs (for example, screen readers), is it possible to cancel the hot keys of these programs and set their own action?
It worked for me only for one browser, but how can I make it work the same in all major browsers?
Is there an option in css to override default browser properties, but is there something similar for hotkeys?
