This is a defect in the brain that causes paralysis of the fingers at a certain position of the hand!
The reasons you voiced are not much more likely, it is rare that someone writes such viruses, the motherboard does not fail completely, in order to diagnose the problem, first at least check what about the On-Screen Keyboard, then reboot in Recovery mode.

Boot from a live version of some bounty (you can write to a USB flash drive with one mouse), if it works there, it's in the OS or software on it. If it doesn't work there, connect another keyboard and test it. If it still does not plow - you are already looking towards the connectors and the mother
