Is a double VPN possible?

Not so long ago I thought about whether it is possible to purchase, for example, 3 different subscriptions to vpn services and put them in this way -
1) Will be at the PC level (Program)
2) Will be at the Browser level (Extension)
3) Will be at the Router level
Thus, as it seems to me that this will create additional anonymity, since the traffic will be encrypted several times and it will be much more difficult to get to the last vpn.
I'm wondering if this makes sense and will it work at all?

Is a double VPN possible?

At least ten. The speed will drop, that's all, due to the overhead of encryption (if it is encrypted)
Can not be. VPN is Virtual Private Network , respectively, it happens only at the network level.
It seems to you :) VPN is not about anonymity at all. It is about secure communications between points.
In the provider's log, you will see the entry into the first VPN - this is the time. The target site may have special "beacons" that catch your real IP, bypassing the VPN - that's two. We add it once and twice - we get a soldering iron in #op (universal high-speed thermorectal cryptographic converter), which will give out all your VPNs at cosmic speed.
Unless, of course, someone needs you. Although most likely, everyone will give a fuck about you :)
There is no point. Whether it will work is unknown. Because the task is unknown and the model of the intruder is unknown.

With the right settings it will work. Nested encrypted tunnels have been encountered in practice.
But whether this guarantees greater protection is far from a fact. Anyone who can oblige one VPN operator to provide information will be able to do this with three, it will take a little more time and nothing more.

I will answer like this. Most likely you don't need it. Because if such a level of secrecy is required, including from the VPN services themselves, then you would not ask about it on the Toaster, and you would not use other people's services.
Therefore, just choose one good VPN service that suits you in terms of price, range of servers, convenience of programs, and enjoy.
