Installing vCenter on an existing esxi or a clean one?

Good afternoon!
Prompt please to the beginner in the field of virtualization. I have about 8 hosts with different versions of esxi (from 5.5 to 6.7), vCenter was purchased by the organization. And it was up to me to unpack it.
So that's the question. Can it be deployed on an existing esxi host, or do I need a separate clean host?
Won't I fuck up, in the first case, my virtual machines on an existing host? And in general, is it right to install vCenter on a host with a bunch of virtual machines?

This is such a mini-holyvarchik :) There are supporters of installing the sphere on bare-metal, there is - on the host.
Bare-metal is more difficult to back up and restore in case something happens, and the wheelbarrow will need to be kept zadripanskaya - why not give away a server with 32G of memory? But on the other hand, it always works, you can install updates and not warm your head where the machine with the sphere is now wandering.
The virtual machine needs to be moved at the time when updates are being installed on the hosts - the sphere controls this process, it cannot be interrupted. But then backup by common means, vMotion and all that. I'm running a virtual machine on the host.
By the way, keep in mind that free licenses will not get into the sphere - only paid ones, so if there are hosts with free licenses, you will have to buy them.
If there are enough resources - nothing interferes

In general, there are freelancers on wmvare.
Doubt your abilities, hire a pro.
And judging by the questions, the updates are definitely not worth it.
