ESXi 5.5 format iscsi storage when adding?

The problem is described in the title. There is iscsi storage. I connect to the host and add it as a disk. On all versions of ESXi, it does not format when adding, except for ESXi 5.5. How can I add without format?

solved by connecting directly to the host, not through vCenter.
