Virtualbox-based media center (vmware, virtualbox)?

The plan is this:
the PC is powerful enough, the video card is 1. The TV is connected to the PC via HDMI. I want to "forward" this virtual machine to HDMI. Put the appropriate software there (XBMC for example) Forward USB from the remote control there.
Will it take off?
And if you buy some cheap vidyahu and put the second one and completely forward it?

USB forwards easily. But the video, judging by the forums, almost a few succeeded.
