Infrastructure for web and mobile development on Mac OS?
Good day everyone. I have been doing web development for 4 years, mostly backend and a little front. I always worked on Windows with Vagrant/Homestead/Docker or Ubuntu on my home PC, there were enough problems/brakes and nothing else terrible. But then everything took a new turn, it became necessary to work a lot with designers, so you need to have Photoshop / Sketch on hand, there is also a need to work with an application for iOS / Android
Therefore, I will take a Macbook pro 15", new or used, I don’t know yet , undecided, the reviews are different. The only thing that I definitely like about the new Pro 15 "is the dimensions, which is undoubtedly convenient. Other than that, it makes no difference to me.
I decided to prepare in advance and choose which software to work on in the direction of the PHP backend, whether it is worth installing everything into the system or is it better to use the same Homestead. What speed does it have in MacOS, what are the problems? What is the speed of docker?

Any containers work approximately the same) as well as virtual machines. It does not depend on macos, but on how much memory you take into it and what processor. I use docker myself and it starts with the whole zoo from scratch in 30 seconds. But I also have an i5 2.3 Coffee lake config with 16gb ram.
