In what form should I send the site to the customer?

The question is a little strange, but I just can't figure it out. If you are making, for example, some kind of application for a customer, everything is clear here. Well, if I ordered a site or a bot of some kind. How should I submit a project? In the form of a full-fledged site on a hosting / vps with a domain (or a working bot). Or in the form of files, and the customer will host everything himself?

The customer does not need a website, he needs a solution. Therefore, you discuss hosting, domain and everything else. In any case, there should be a document on how to do this to a specialist. Plus you some money. Less headache for the customer.

If we are talking about the development of a site on a turnkey basis, then I see no other way to transfer the result, except for placing the site on a hosting.
To be honest, I don’t remember ever handing over a site in the form of a zip archive. What will the client do with it?

make a test site on which you will check the operation of the site and demonstrate to the customer
and give the finished site in the form of a zip archive for
each version
