Hello. I finally bought a Macbook for developing websites and software. Prior to that, he worked on Windows and everything was very clear. But now faced with the question, where to store? Not on the desktop... Then where? The file structure is organized quite differently. Share the reference version, please. Plus, I want project folders to be loaded into iCloud. So that projects are also in the cloud.

you can on the desktop, you can in documents, you can make a separate folder anywhere.

On Windows, everything is very clear because you are used to it. "Clearly" - as I understand it, on the D drive ? It so happened historically, since Windows quite often has to be reinstalled, and in order not to lose all the developments, they came up with the idea of dividing the disk and storing the system and data separately. On Linux , you can do the same. macOS is very similar in structure to Linux . I don't separate system and data and haven't seen anyone do that on macOS . I created a folder with projects right in my home directory. You can sync any folder with iCloud .
