Image generation for Speed Dial in different browsers

I'm interested in the possibility of displaying various information in the picture for Speed Dial.
So far, as I understand it, only two browsers support this feature: Opera and Yandex.Browser
Opera has an excellent description of how it works, however, I did not find it in Yandex. And it does not work with the pages of the Opera from the example.
Can you please tell me how Yandex generates these previews? For example, here:

In Chrome, you can write your own start page. Other browsers, I think, also have this api.

Yandex.Browser does not yet have a public API for this.
