A tourist visa forbids you from being employed in England.
Accordingly, it does not interfere with working remotely for your current job.
If somehow you freelance from England for more than 183 days a year, then you will become a tax resident of England and will have to register and pay taxes there. But this is a completely different big question, and on a tourist visa you still won’t be able to stay there for that long.

If you go and write a statement to the police about yourself, they will kick you out

I don’t know for sure about England, but in America you need an SSN (Social Security Number) for everything.
Want to open a bank account --> go ahead SSN
Need insurance --> SSN
Want to start a company --> SSN
Want to pay someone's salary or receive from someone --> SSN
...
In some states, even a driver's license without it do not give
...
No SSNa --> do you need something? --> then bring SSN

Why not find an employer before leaving and get a work visa? They love us over the hill, for the fact that we are many times cheaper and where the local English junior turns up his nose, our middle bows at his feet. And if you have the Internet, finding a job site in England is not difficult.
Well, if you plan to wash toilets, then you can do it without a visa, of course, but then why write here? So I think it's about the presence of some knowledge and skills behind. Then either remote from here or a work visa.

Interest Ask. If you work remotely unofficially (there is no documentary evidence - contracts, acts, extracts, invoices, etc.), and at the same time you are in England on a tourist visa, you will have absolutely no problems.
If you work officially and directly for employers from the EU, with registrations and receiving monetary rewards on EU bank cards, then you can be taken under the law.

A bunch of nuances, work remotely for whom? Customers from RU or EU. The moment of withdrawal of receiving money from the customer, the amount received, the tourist visa has properties to end, etc.. If you encrypt via VPN, they will think that it is a spy. :)
Another question is that there is an opportunity to personally meet with customers and then, showing the goods in person, try to get a work visa. Work illegally - you are in the position of Tajiks in the Russian Federation, not when you don’t know what will happen tomorrow. I think that you are not going there for such a prospect. All of course IMHO

Tourist work is strictly prohibited. This threatens with an administrative case.
And then a tourist visa does not imply a long stay. And the passport says 180 days a year, but in reality these dates should be short-term trips, not a one-time stay. You can read more about the travel option here.
And it is almost impossible to find an employer (host) in advance remotely.

I do not advise you to do this, then there will be a black mark for all civilized countries.
My friend worked here illegally, then it turned into big bureaucratic problems.
