I sewed an 8-mb dump into a 16mb flash drive, but it doesn't work, why?
Welcome all.
I sewed a dump of an 8-mb flash drive into 16mb, respectively. Now the UART does not work and all the diodes are on, we can assume that it did not accept the flash drive. Is it possible to do this at all, if not, how to do it correctly (ordering 8mb mikruha is not an option)?

Score the remaining 8 meters with zeros and hope that the firmware does not check the dimensions. If there is something inside with a real FS, then rebuild the firmware. Well, not every flash drive is interchangeable with others.
