HP Pavilion g series reboots before starting Windows, how do I diagnose the problem?
Several times already, acquaintances brought an HP Pavilion g series laptop with a cyclic reboot before starting Windows. It is usually treated by restoring the system boot from the installation disk. Yesterday they called again saying the same problem. How to diagnose why this is happening?

Most likely, the computer throws out a "blue screen" and goes to reboot. To disable reboot on a critical error in Windows 7, you need to boot from another media (live cd for example), connect to the registry of the target machine and change the value of the HKLM - SYSTEM - CurrentControlSet - Control - CrashControl - AutoReboot key from 1 to 0. Then, with a critical error there will be no reboot, but there will be a blue screen with an error code. Rewrite the code and google what causes it most often. You can also find out the error code by taking a file from the target machine from the Windows / Minidump folder and viewing it using the "Bluescreenview" program.
Boot from LiveCD, if everything is fine there - the problem is in vend.
