How to write a test solution correctly?

The test task is mainly on the knowledge of algorithms. I made the software part. Algorithms are in the head and on the leaves. Do I need to sit in Photoshop for a while to visually depict the work of the program, or will verbal explanations suffice?
Tell us who has some experience in the design of the assignment, and how it (design) can affect the loyalty of the "jury"?

Are you going to document working programs with Photoshop too? If this is not some kind of image processing, then only plain-text, comments in the code + introductory in the subject line. At most, some diagrams from the IDE.

The best thing for the jury is to provide a working product (or with minimal functionality, the main thing is that at least the skeleton of the algorithm is visible). In my case this was enough

Of course, it is worth depicting the work of the program. Only this is not done in Photoshop, but in the UML editor. You can draw an activity diagram or a block diagram. See what best describes how your program works.
