How to use the power of the server on the Internet for your needs?

There is high-speed Internet and weak hardware (cannot cope with heavy programs).
Is it possible to use the power of some server and work online?

Make a redtube archive! since you ask such questions)
I read everything further, look at the rdp.
Is the game really worth the candle?
You have old hardware and an Internet, in order to drive something heavy, you need to get used to the delay + pay for the same server.

As a matter of fact, I advise you to read about VDS. Online will not be ideal, but if the Internet is really high-speed (over 10Mb min) then the delay will actually be equal to the ping to VDS, of course you can’t play toys from such a server and most likely photoshop and the like, if you manage to start it will not work as smoothly as with real iron. Usually vds is paid and starts at an average of $ 10 per month for barely living hardware, as an option, you can look at Azure with its free bizspark.

Install RDP, NoMachine NX, VNC, ssh etc to your taste on the server and client on your old computer.
For Office, Surfing, working with text is enough.

For example, I use this scheme, there is a powerful computer (server) on which heavy programs are installed, there are several weak computers that are located in different parts of the city, I connect to it via RDP (Remote Desktop Connection) and work. Advantages - data centralization, I can connect to this hardware from anywhere, even from an android tablet, and work with all the necessary software.
