How to upload via FTP?

I am a beginner frontender (html5, css3, js(es5,es6)).
They asked me to upload the template to the server.
Gave FTP access:
Host: ...
Login ...
Password ...

The host contains the site address. Should I go through my personal account?

Download the filezilla program, for example, enter the FTP data and upload the necessary files to the folder (/var/www or www/html or /site_name usually)
