How to upload large images to datastore esxi 6 free faster?

Good afternoon!
I'm just starting to delve into virtualization, I apologize if the question is a noob one.
Please share your experience: what is the fastest (optimal) way to upload an image of a vmdk virtual machine, for example, 150GB in size, to an esxi 6 free datastore without storage?

It's very slow over ssh and winSCP, it's just that it uploads much faster to the virtual machine over the network.

I tried NFS and iscsi to do Windows and nas4free, but when nfs or iscsi is connected to esxi, it formats the volume for its FS and they become inaccessible from windows, how then can I upload files there via the network, for example from windows?

So far, my fastest option is this: on a Windows virtual machine, a USB screw is forwarded to it, from a virtual Windows through a browser or vSphere client I connect to esxi and upload a vmdk file to the datastore. Perversion, of course, but faster.
There must be a better way, but I don't know it.

@dukeraccoon

depending on which OS, with MSWin - WinSCP, I connect via Nautilus using the SFTP protocol, the speed is 11MB / s
