Should I get a VCA-DCV certification?
Good afternoon, colleagues!
I have been working as a system administrator for more than 6 years, I already have some experience and practical skills. And only a few months ago I was puzzled by the issue of certification, tk. I want high-quality growth in the profession, but serious companies without certificates are not considered. In this regard, I began to take courses as a specialist in order to obtain the MCSE: Server Infrastructure certificate. At the same time, I am studying the possibilities of certification from other vendors, in particular VmWare.
Actually a question. Does it make sense to get an entry-level certificate from VmWare (aka VCA6-DCV), provided that for financial reasons I will not be able to get a VCP6-DCV in the near future? Will a potential employer even look at this entry-level certificate and give me any advantage, other things being equal?
Can anyone give me some advice on certification in general? Maybe some recommendations on strategy or pitfalls? Would you recommend any other directions, provided that 90% of my work is products from Microsoft + VmWare (virtualization) + Mikrotik (RouterOS)?

Knowledge and experience are much more seriously evaluated by large companies than certificates.
I spent $ 100 on it, but what's the point when the dollar was 30.
VCA is just knowledge about vmware products, what is vsphere, esxi, vmotion, etc. Sometimes there were questions that were not covered in their e-course.
It’s better to prepare yourself for Cisco, networks will definitely come in handy in life, and payment is only for the exam.
VCP6-DCV - not bad according to reviews, but very expensive. If the company covers 100% or 50%, then you can. But again, it only makes sense if you work with vmware products all the time.
