How to update the BIOS of an old Intel motherboard?
There is an Intel DH67GD motherboard .
I would like to put on it the latest version of BIOS 0163 dated 10/23/2018 , so that it starts supporting the ivy bridge;
The last attempt to update the BIOS ended in failure, everything seemed to go well, but the piece of iron did not turn on anymore, only the cooler was spinning.
Google suggested that I'm not the only one:

managed to upload BLH6710H.86A.0125.2011 through the wizards with the programmer. 0705.1517, but now it sees the board as: DH67CL
In general, the question is open, I want to update, but I get one attempt or each attempt - 500 rubles to restore the BIOS from the masters)
The masters also tried, but they didn’t succeed through iFlash and F7
https://www.intel.com/ content/dam/support/us/en/do... - here they seem to mention that you can try it right away through the Recovery Update method
Or is it impossible to do this with a working BIOS?
Such a document is also for the processors of this board:

I wanted either i5-3570 or xeon e3-1270 v2
update:
here https:// downloadmirror.intel.com/28273/eng/BL_0163... also found this:
BIOS version 0151 includes support for 3rd Generation Intel® Core™
processors. Due to structural changes in this BIOS version, once a
board has been converted to this version or later, it will no longer
be possible to downgrade the BIOS to version 0132 or earlier.
Attempting a BIOS downgrade to a previous version may fail – the board
BIOS will remain at its current version.

To fully enable support for these processors, follow the special BIOS
update steps at Updating the BIOS on 6 Series chipset desktop boards.
