How to understand what is eating up the memory of a hard drive?

Hello.
There was originally a hard disk of 90 gigabytes, 50 gigabytes are occupied.
Recently, 87-88 gigabytes have become busy, while I did not do any manipulations. CCleaner offers to clean up, I kill about 32 gigs, after a couple of days again 87-88 gigs are occupied.

Use a program like https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/ to see what takes up the most space for you. Then it will be necessary to find out what these files are and dance from this.

1. Hibernation file + paging file
2. Logs of some program
In general, carefully study the list of files that CCleaner offers to clean. Try to understand what programs on your PC create them. Remove them (programs) if you don't use them.

CCleaner offers to clean

Fuck, he offers to clean and says what.
This is not a license agreement that can be skipped.
You need to watch what you clean))))

Install Tree Size ( https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/). The software will show you who is eating up disk space.

Usually the hard drive becomes cluttered due to temporary program files... If you go along the path % AppData% -> Local -> Temp, you will see a bunch, no more - A huge bunch of files and folders... Some files can be deleted, and if you delete the temporary files of the OS, then after restarting the OS it will not boot))) (Already encountered this, and yes, I would advise you Glary Utilites - A less intelligent program than CCleaner) It's better to clean your computer carefully!

The most likely culprit is OneDrive, remove it completely. Next, using the WinDirStat program, calculate the logs created by OneDrive by size (each file is from 15 to 25 GB) and delete them.

FolderSizes is a great program, with tons of useful reports, just right for cases like this.
