How to understand that there is enough knowledge for freelancing?

I've been thinking about freelancing for a long time, but I'm worried that I don't have enough knowledge to start. Now I work in an outsourcing office for a pittance, but I am gaining experience in real projects. For 4 months that I have been working there, I have mastered and successfully use nodejs, angularjs, I know how to work with mongodb, that is, I know and use the MEAN stack. From time to time I glance towards Upwork. Advise how it is better to develop in the future: by yourself or in the office?

You can understand by income.
There is no income - something needs to be changed.
Not enough income - something needs to be changed.
A lot of income - you have to row the loot.
It's hard to understand without a field experiment.

Go to the exchange, look at 2-3 tasks according to your profile and estimate how much you will do and whether you are sure of the result, if you are not sure that you will do it well and faster than other candidates, then you are not ready

In the office and at the same time try to take on small tasks as a freelancer (if time permits, also start sawing your project). Then decide for yourself how, what and where. And learn to set realistic deadlines (for starters, how much time seems to go to the task multiplied by at least 2)
