There is an "extra" SSD drive. Are there any smart devices in which you can insert this disk as a drive for distributing music / video?

How would you like to distribute? If as files, then any router with a USB port can. You just need to get the SATA->USB cable.

Well, you either have a simple NAS (many routers will do), or just plug it into the necessary devices via USB through any adapter to usb / esata.
Sheeva Plug will do.
Could you be more specific =)
