How to start custom website development on wordpress?

My friend and I decided to create sites on WordPress, I have basic knowledge of html/css/js , but I have never worked with cms, and my friend made 4-5 sites on it, they look normal, ready-made templates have been slightly changed and something has been added, but he did it for friends, so, not very seriously, and his knowledge is only working with WordPress with templates, and html / css / php are small.
But if you start making small sites to order, you don’t really want to cut g * vn * sites, and so the question comes from here: what can you advise?
what knowledge should be in order to be ready to make some small sites on wordpress to order?
what could be the problems?
I mean, as I understand it, I need to at least understand how to work with wordpress, know html / css and learn php , then another question arises:
Если мы хотим как-то разделиться чтоб один делал одно, а другой другое, то как тут можно разделиться? Если бы там с нуля сайт то понятно, что кто-то frontend, а кто-то backend а тут cms , шаблоны готовые будут просто изменять их или так и есть что frontend/backend , или все одно учить и делать там только с помощью git допустим в двоем одно и тоже, это все только идея и готовы учиться сколько угодно прежде чем приступать, а не то что бы как за 10 дней научиться делать сайты.

Your first sites will still be shitty sites.
There is a lot of information and no one will share all the secrets with you.
Don't even share. And no one is going to teach you.
A lot of bloggers share information, read blogs on WP.
In a year, you will look at your sites and grab your head:
And then you will understand how to make websites to order.
Good luck :))))
PS: A little tip: In order not to get yourself hemorrhoids on your head, learn Git with a friend.

You are looking for a merchant who will find an order and work. Complicated?

Initially, you need to learn how to create templates for wp, the only way you can take orders.
It is not necessary to learn php from and to, but you need to know how it works, syntax loop, etc.
You don't need to change the templates, you need to study how the layout is stretched on wp, for this there are many courses to study.
You can divide like this 50% layout 50% stretch.

Start by learning about WordPress themes and plugins, how to create a blog post, blog pages, how to use page builders like Elementor.
The best way to learn something is to immediately immerse yourself in the subject, gaining as much hands-on experience as possible.
