How to start a career in machine learning?

Good afternoon!
I decided to try myself in the field of machine learning and / or artificial intelligence.
I listened (and passed) a couple of courses on coursera.

• 1. Machine Learning by Andrew Ng
  
• 2. Neural Networks for Machine Learning by Jeffrey Hinton
  

I studied with pleasure, I feel mine.
Now the question is where to go next.
Should I buy these certificates? Or is it ML Kindergarten?
Where to study further?
Advise resources where you can solve puzzles.
Kaggle is difficult for a beginner. If only an apprentice to the team, but to which one?
Where can I work as an intern in St. Petersburg (or remotely)?
Can you find freelance work?
Anyway, I'd be grateful for any advice.

Try nibbling Kaggle, it's an accessible way for everyone.

How to start a career in machine learning?

From finding a suitable employer? In their advertisements, everything is written what they need, what certificates they need, what skills. Or do you think that another megasuperduperit office will offer a job itself?

Haven't seen any freelancing.
At the expense of the following courses, I advise not courses but more practice
