How to speed up Sublime Text 2 through FTP?

When working via FTP via gvfs in Ubuntu, Sublime Text 2 is terribly slow. The reason is most likely constant editor requests (directory caching, information about file changes). How can you speed up?

Isn't it easier to work with files on localhost, and unload with a script manually or hung on inotify? Never understood those who work directly through FTP.

Free plugin . It is quite convenient for sinking (update to ftp when saving) and moderately for receiving from the server (almost never used).
