How to speed up computer boot?
Hello, I assembled a new computer, installed windows on an ssd drive, but the PC boots up quite slowly, I searched Google, but I couldn’t find a way to speed up bios / uefi loading. Tell me where to dig?
asrock z370 extreme4 motherboard
PC boot time:
when turned on:
9 seconds just a black screen
+15 seconds Asrock boot screen with the ability to enter bios
+10 seconds - Windows loading itself (this time suits me)
total 9+15+10=34 seconds .
of components:
everything is new except for two old HDD drives, but the system partition is on a new SSD drive.

It looks like the old hards are dying. Or in the BIOS there is a complete enumeration of all boot options, including old hard drives and network. And only in the last place comes to the SSD.
Launching and spinning up disks, initializing equipment and working out OptROM, searching for an ESP partition and launching a bootloader from it.
Either take out / turn off what you do not use, or do not turn off the computer.
cheto mother starts. Although it seems not deshmanskaya. Try to download the latest BIOS from the manufacturer's website and flash it to it. If it doesn’t help, then I would contact the store with a request for a replacement (well, or at least I came and looked at the same speed it starts).
Interested in these 15 seconds of your BIOS black screen. At this time, the final part of the POST procedure is running (the previous 9 seconds is its initial part), and it lasts this long only if it includes a memory test. Usually it is not included in it (or can be disabled and replaced by a simple determination of the available memory, which is much shorter), and then a black screen with white letters lasts 2...3 seconds.
For me, when the OS was freshly installed, the time from pressing the power button to the appearance of the Desktop was 16 ... 18 seconds. Now it's longer, 30 seconds - you see, as a result of updates over the past years, the operating files of the OS have gained weight.
